Good morning everyone! Working at a school offers me some great time-off perks so, needless to say, thanks to the time off this week, I've been trying to come up with ideas to prevent Hussi from getting too bored (geez, maybe I'm doing this for myself too!) That being said, here are some ideas I've come up with. I'd love to hear of any others y'all might offer too!

Backpacking - I live in a fairly urban area but, fortunately, it also offers a lot of urban hiking not to mention the mountains are only an hour "that" way and the beach is only 1.5 hours "that" way. That being said, I'm contemplating getting Hussi a backpack of her own so she'll feel like she's working and not just being dragged along. For anyone interested, here's a nice review site for three different packs. Here's another one too which is a bit more comprehensive.

Carting - I posted another post in one of the other categories relating to this topic. Albeit this could be very expensive, of course (I found a manufacturer whose carts START at $1,200 and another one starting at $3,000!). The cool thing about these carts is that you actually RIDE them, much like a horse sulky. I'm thinking about starting Hussi out small with a wagon while I can walk along side her, much like Dad and Linda did then saving my pennies for a cart I can use to replace the Forester with.

Competitive Herding- This is what Kay and Dave are doing with Egor, of course. I think this might be the coolest thing to really test a Bouvier's intelligence and put he or she to great use. I've been contemplating agility with Hussi in which I'd probably get as much out of it as she would but, being the "country boy" that I am, I think I'd prefer competitive herding in an agricultural environment.

Y'all have a good one!
